Just a tip Juls, if you guys end up with the position in MI, move as far outside of Detroit as possible. Common sense, I know. But the further you get from those suburbs, the better off you are (especially for the value of your home in the long run). However, cheer up. I can't even get my mind around thinking of the cost of living in MI as being high after living out here. But, it's a buyers market in MI right now(it kind of is everywhere, but especially there).
Anyway, hello to everyone else as well. I miss you girls and am looking forward to seeing you all in about a month. Life here has been good. Nathan and I have been completely bogged down with work...grad classes, freelance work, church work, etc. But it keep us out of trouble. Although I'm enjoying my grad program, I'll be glad when it's over. It's quite a lot of work. Work is going well, although the school shootings of course change the atmosphere of school these days, especially in middle and high schools. Our schools is as locked down as possible these days. Yesterday afternoon, we had 2 high schoolers arrested on our school property with a loaded gun. Scary. Other than that, I'm settling into a routine with my new kiddos. I've got some tough ones this year, but what else is new. Ok well, I'm having a big fondu party this evening, so I had better go prepare:) Gotta love entertaining. It's been good hearing from everyone, and I hope the weekend goes well!
