Mexico

Hola Chicas!
Well, we've been back in the states for almost a week now... in this FREEZING weather. Mexico was a lot of fun. We ate, drank, slept, and relaxed a lot. I have to sort through all the pictures and get them uploaded, but then will send them all to you. One of my favorite times on the trip was going to Tulum and Xel-ha. The Tulum ruins were neat to see, but educational... so while it was fun, it was also sort of boring. BUT, then we went to Xel-ha, which has sort of a natural lazy river type thing. When you get to the bottom of the lazy river, you get to snorkel. I had never been snorkeling before and thought it was amazing. At one time I looked down and saw a fish (no kidding) the size of Chris. I tapped him on the shoulder and we both flipped our feet rather quickly in the other direction... as if that would keep us safe, if indeed we were in danger... when we really weren't. It was just starteling.
Chris is keeping very busy with this new company, which isn't yet formed or named. So we call it "New Co" for the time being. He works during the day, eats dinner, and then works at night. We decided that since he can't help me with any of the housework, and since i'm working full time too... that we're going to have to hire a house cleaner. I feel like a failure as a wife, and am really dropping my pride here. But I just can't keep up. So I've accepted it pretty well I think, and am really looking forward to not cleaning the bathroom anymore!
If you've seen any pictures of me lately, including the one i'm posting below... you'll notice how long my hair has gotten. It hasn't been this long since 1996 actually. Until two days ago... I chopped it all off (well, 8 inches anyway)! I had Chris take a "before" picture so as soon as I get an "after", i'll post them too. I was going for a drastic change, and I think i nailed it head on. I got so sick of it when i was in Mexico and came to the realization that there was no way i could have long hair when I have young kids, so off it went! My hairdresser swept the floor twice while she was cutting it because she kept on slipping. funny.
Here's a pic of us taken on our last morning in Mexico during the sunrise. It's not the best picture but it's one of the few I have of us together since we tend to not make friends while on vacation... i guess that's due to all the sleeping and reading we do. oh, and here's on of us in a hammock at Xel-ha too.
