Growing

So, here are some pictures of my growing belly that have been requested recently. I really popped out over the holidays. The pregnancy is continuing to go well. Overall I can't complain too much. I experienced no morning sickness or other early symptoms, so I didn't even feel pregnant for quite some time. Now I'm definitely feeling it...I guess it's hard not too when you're this size. But my only real complaint now is back pain, which can be quite bad at times. I've been feeling the baby move for about a month or so now, and Nathan has been able to feel it a few times as well. I think it's much more real to him now that I am really showing and that he can feel the baby. He spends time talking to the baby through my bellybutton, which he insists is the portal directly to the baby:) Yes, he's definitely ready to have another member of the family who will now be awed and amused by his humor. But it's definitely crazy to have a little person growing a moving around inside of you. Kinda scary too at times.
Outside of the pregnancy, we continue to keep busy. I just finished my last grad class. Whoo hooo!! I still have comprehensive exams in Feb though. Nathan is in the process of changing jobs. Since he is freelancing, there can be a bit of uncertainty when one job is up and he's looking for another. He just started a new position today, but is still looking for something more longterm(this is a 4 month gig). So we've definitely been learning to trust God completely with where we're at right now. Bella is also doing well. I couldn't resist including pictures of her. She currently think she runs the house, has lots of spunk and even some attitude, and just loves to cuddle up with us. Work is going well for me. I'm already more than half-way through my year (which is of course a little shorter than everyone else' since I wont make it until June). I love my kids and will definitely be sad to leave them before the end of the year. As usual, I won't miss the politics though. Other than that it's just the business of life. My brother is getting married and we're both in the wedding, my baby shower will be shortly after that, the baby comes, and then we're inundated with company and traveling this summer. We definitely are looking forward to seeing everyone who goes to Joe's wedding in June, especially since I missed the last reunion. So that's life in Michigan. I've enjoyed everyone's Christmas cards, and Kim, it's been fun to keep up on Violet these last few weeks as you guys update the website. All three of you seem to be adjusting well to your new little life:) Keep us posted.
