IMHO

Don't listen to Julie--she's crazy. Just kidding.

Ang, I think the important thing is to remember that the decision you make will be the right one for you. And that either way, it's better to have decisions to make than to be stuck doing the same thing day after day, right?

I can say that from my experience in the working world, having a job that I enjoyed was way better for my mental and physical health than having a job that made more money. And Julie does make a good point that having kids will restrict your budget in big ways, so it is a good idea to get used to it ahead of time (we didn't do that so much and it was a big transition.)

But...one or two years is still some time if that's how long you're wanting to wait for the kids thing. You can get a lot accomplished in that time that you most likely won't be able to after you have the kids. So this might be the opportunity to take chances and go for it while you can. I mean, I absolutely love being a stay at home mom (most days) but sometimes I do wish I had done more before I had Violet, because now it's a good five to six years until she's in school before I can really pursue anything academically or career-wise again. But again, that's just me.

You could always try that game from Friends too, where someone asks you a bunch of questions really quickly and you say the first thing that comes to mind to help make your decision. Hot or cold? Up or down? Red or blue? Manager or bakery?

See, I'm helpful on so many levels.

Let us know what you decide either way! We'll be praying for you!
