Wow, has it really been over a month since any of us has posted on here? What's that about? You all think you're too busy with new babies and jobs and multiple kids or something? Seriously.
So nothing big to report around here. Just getting hyped up for the holiday season, which is ever so exciting. Not sure how it happened to coincide with my actually following a workout/diet routine, but I guess that's all the more reason for more time at the Y.
So yes, we are in the full swing of Halloween this week. Party last weekend, party tonight, school parties tomorrow and Thursday, then the big day this weekend. It's a lot of fun, especially now that Violet is actually aware of what's going on. Just yesterday she said, "Mama, Halloween is so fun. Let's have Christmas next!"
Work is going very well for Adam. He's really finding his niche again and is loving what he's doing right now (a lot of which involves many, many numbers that I don't understand. But! He did get to see Tyra Banks today, who is at his office in meetings about her website.)
So...all that to say that we might actually be sticking around this place a little bit longer. It's a tough call because we do have friends and a life here now, and theoretically could maybe afford to move to a little big bigger place next year (depending on how things go). But...we are still so far from family, which Violet is noticing more and more. Plus the holiday time is always hard, juggling between two states. So yeah, we are kind of in that up-in-the-air period again for a while. But in the meantime we are trying to enjoy life as much as possible.
Beckett is almost eight months now and more rolly-polly than ever. We believe that God made him extra big and tough so he is able to survive his sister's constant 'mothering' attempts. He's such a sweetheart though and is in a very cuddly stage, which I love during the hours of 7am to 8pm. After that, well, he could sleep a little more and I wouldn't complain.
Violet is getting more and more precocious with every passing day. She now says, "Mama, please come here. I need to tell you something." When did she become a 13-year-old? But I have to say I am pretty much loving the stage she is in, attitude and all. She definitely keeps me entertained and is becoming a fun little companion. Now if we can just get her to reach the completely potty trained mark, that would be perfect.
I've been working on some writing again and was really getting motivated there for a while until Mr. Crazy Sleeper decided to start waking up three times a night again. But I'm researching different publishing options as I continue to rewrite and rewrite. I may consider the self publishing route but not sure if I have the motivation to do self promotion. So we will see.
Miss you girls so much. I was just thinking about this week and how Adam proposed on Halloween eight years ago and how devious little Julie, Angie, and Steph knew all about it and didn't drop any hints. My, how time flies.
Hope you are all doing well! Give us some updates soon!
